Just now, because i was bored, i went out with my youngest brother, Arief.
Arief is larger than me in every way. he's taller, bulat-er, and his face is bigger than mine! i always pick on him, always kutuk him and most of the time, im always annoyed with him.

So when we had dinner just now, he was telling me about how he was bullied in school.

He said there are boys who pick on him and tell him disgusting (and rude) things to him. and only him.

#One of them, he says, looks at him and goes "whatcha looking at?" and hold up his fist and konon nak tumbuk him. Naturally Arief would take a step back in defense and that boy laughs.

#Another one whispers in his ears, asking "how many balls do you have?", and Arief being innocent said he has 3 at home. and the boy laughs and tell his friends about it. and like stupid bangangs, they all laugh at Arief.

#One twerp physically hits him when the teacher and Arief's not looking.

okay.
one thing you should know and understand about Arief, is that he has ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactive disorder). not many people are aware of this disorder, even lesser people know how to handle people with ADHD.

a child with this disorder have a very short attention span and often they are in their own world, meaning to say, they always zone out. thus, they have a problem concentrating. you MUST understand, they don't choose to not concentrate, they simply can't. it's a disorder.
so with this disease, Arief's mental growth is not the same as ours. he is 13 years old, but his mind works like a 10 year old.
if you've seen him, he doesn't speak Malay, he speaks in English because it's easier for him. he's a smart boy, but it's a struggle for him to fit in.
and people who are ignorant of this disorder obviously would find Arief strange and most likely, annoying.

and I, regretfully, have not been the best sister for him.

I felt like crying when he told me about him being bullied. I also felt vengeful.
I want to bitch-slap, kick, scare, and freaking BULLY the twerps who bullied him so that they know what it feels like when they can't fight back. if they do fight back, memang mintak terajang la!
I want to make those A******S (because they're kids) suffer for all the torture they've done to MY BROTHER.

no one, i repeat, NO "FREAKING" ONE can bully Arief except me or my family!!!

i have a strong urge to go to school with Arief and introduce myself to these twerps and memorising their details so that if EVER i hear Arief being bullied again.... hanya Tuhan saja tahu.
if newspaper ada kuar news about a girl going berserk kat some sekolah in BU, that's not me! hehee..

I hope that you are now at least aware of ADHD kids. if you see people acting weird or just out of the ordinary, just remember to respect them anyway. not everyone's perfect. if you think you're normal, then what makes you think people with disorders aren't? just bersyukur that you were able to go through your life so far.

London bridge fell down already rupanya..

ok ok. London lak!!

so we had to take the train from Paris to London right, and we were confident that it was at 2pm. We took off from our hotel to the train station at 12pm and arrived at the station about 10 mins before 1pm.
We walked calmly towards the counter and we got the shock of our lives!
The counter person, after they interrogated us about our reasons nak gi UK, bla bla bla, said that our train's at 1pm.
wait.
1pm?!!?!

i looked at my friend, Nina, she looked at me. we were both panicking silently. so after that 1st counter, we ran with our bags to the next counter. and the next one, and to the next one. banyak ok counter!! nak scan bags la, nak ni la, nak tu la.
pastu one of the guards said "why are they running? they already missed it."
amboi, kau relax la. memang la kitorang gelabah! we thought we were early and the ticket already stated that we have to check in 30 minutes before time of departure. apa tak lari?!?!

so when we reached at the last counter, panting like crazy, orang tu cakap
"oh, im sorrey, but you cannot go in ze tghain."

i cakap la we still have time, it's not 1pm yet!

i said ok. so how?

she said something to her colleague and the guy said

FIUUUUUUUHHHHHH!!! alhamdulillah! nasib baik ada next train yang tak full and nasib baik TAK PAYAH BAYAR LEBIH! woohoo!! save pocket money!
so we hung out at the tempat departure train. takde benda sgt la nak tgk or do. we were quite bored but well lepak je la.

so itu pre-London.

London was a different case. there's only 1 thing you would think of when you're in London: SHOPPING!
shopping is like mad there. they have Primark yang jual all those clothes yang up-to-date and looks-like-topshop-forever21-cotton on tapi murah nak mampus and with their summer sales. omg. u can pening kepala kat sana coz you wanna shop but you have a baggage weight limit kat airport. how?? hahaha!
so buy what we need je laa~~
it was cold there too. colder than Paris and Amsterdam. but it was sunny. haihh.. best..

this is our shopping bags. on our 1st day in London!! gila kan? percaya lah bahawa saya punya shopping bag yang tu, the left one kat bawah. tu je. =B

apart from the shopping yang kita jakun sangat, the food there is also cheap!! i mean the desserts la. the main courses are normal mahal type but the desserts.. imagine Marks & Spencers that we all think is high-priced shop, sana is like tesco kot!! they sell food and its cheap! like pavlova, 2 boxes of meringue (each contains 8 pieces) costs 2pounds, that digestives yang kat sini satu RM12.90, kat sana 70pence!! 70 sen kot!!!
mmg if i stay there, debab i jadi. makan desserts je!! yummmmmm.. look at the strawberries!!

so we did all the normal tourist stuff. we took the train and went to see places la. Big Ben, Madame Tussauds, Oxford Street, Baker Street, Tower Bridge (because as the title said, london bridge fell down already), and we went to see the Queen.

walking around was soo pleasant. people there are not sombong and they don't look down on us asians.

apa lagi ek about london? all i remember was that we did a lot of shopping there. though i did not buy much then, one can't help but rambang mata tengok all the sale signs everywhere. hahaha!! BEST!!

self-pity? pffft. please.

ok, i want to take a detour from my Eurotrip experience, merci. =)

who would've thought, the one who was most quiet and stood strongest, was the one who got truly sick. when everyone else said they don't feel well, rasa nak demam, you senyap je. padahal you felt the same. dear Farhanilalala, you are such a strong person, and i admire you. =D


i rasa from now on, if i can manage, i'll try to shut up instead of going around telling how bad i got it. some had it worse and they don't even 'promote' it.

we should all be stronger rather than indulge in self-pity.

why should it be a competition? who's got worse than who. frankly, it just shows that we're selfish and ignorant and most importantly, ungrateful. we've had better than most yet we still have things to complain about.

i'm not going to push myself on to people for sympathy because i don't need it. i am strong, and i'll be stronger. so friends, let's just pop our self-pitying-bubble and build a grateful bubble.

Paris, mon amie~

now on to Paris, city of L.O.V.E.

i feel like wetting my pants now coz im watching Argentina vs Germany as im typing out this post. heh. let's just hope this will be the game to be remembered. hehee!

so from Amsterdam, we took the train to Paris, ma cherie. we had to take a cab to the hotel from the train station, and i lak, gatal nak try testing power my french. bear in mind please, that i'm noob in french.

me: excusez moi, nous voudroin aller Tryp Francois. ca va?

cab driver: oui oui.

took the bags into the boot.

in the cab,

cab driver: laksjalklkjalk sdajdasjlakjdak klaj skj?

me: ha?

cab driver: vous parlez francais ou anglais?

me: oh, anglais s'il vous plait. =B

cab driver: where are you from?

me: Malaysia.

cab driver: oh! Kuala Lumpur! i have friends there! it's nice!

me: hehee.. how about you? you local?

cab driver: no. i'm from Sri Lanka.

haha!! poyo je nak berusaha cakap french when he's not even a local. i should've known =p

anyway, i always try to speak french there, but the locals obviously know i'm a tourist (probably coz my french sounds very fake, who knows!) because it's fun to feel that you can actually strike up a conversation in a different language. rasa bangga. haha!

thing is, Paris is not like how it used to be. you would think they would snub us as soon as they hear us speking in English. it's not like that anymore. not so much anyway. i think the french people finally come to senses that it's easier to make business if they can speak english and of course at this time, they really really need foreigners to give them businesses. haha!

so Paris was wonderful! the weather was just ideal! it was sunny and cool breeze was bellowing. macam Cameron-ish but colder sikit la. best bangat!

because we arrived in the evening, after checking in and had our showers, we wanted to go out for a walk. but it was night-time already. then it was freaking cold! but oh well. we just braved ourselves and explore what was needed to be explored.

the next day, we went to De Louvre first! the line was long and we are not into all this history stuff, so we just walked around De louvre and guling-guling on the grass nearby. oh, there were statues everywhere, so best gak la!!

then jalan jalan around De Louvre, we found many parks, fountains, and more statues surrounding it. mana la tak romantic betul tempat tu? haha! clean, green, beautiful, artistic and above all, the weather was splendid! =D

after walking around in the park of De Louvre, we walked our way towards the Arc. it was a long stretch and i almost nak kena langgar masa cross the street, but alhamdulillah i was unscathed and tak kena maki. best gila!! hahahaha!! kalau kat sini, confirm kena glare. or the finger.

tengah jalan tu nampak left and right, big branded shops! we just walk past la. nak mati masuk kedai2 tu? takde duit, takde hope. haha! at the Arc, we took loads of pictures and studied the details of the monument. (monument ke? wateva la) gila precise and up to minute detail. camane tu? orang2 dulu kemain creative! what happened to that talent? gone with technology maybe. the Arc is freaking HUGE! cantik ada, freaky pun ada. coz dia ada christian2 thing. rasa weird.

what is Paris without Eiffel kan? ahaaaaaa.. we went to La Tour Eiffel~~ oui oui!

my friends were so happy coz they bought god-knows-how-many eiffel keychains for a real good bargain. haha! good for them! so kat Eiffel tower tu, we took pictures of course and had crepes and ice cream. SEDAPPPPPP!!! ughh.. i miss it so much. rugi tak amik pics. i was too consumed with my food, i forgot to document it. haha! moi mistake.

dah makan, we got on a horse carriage which took us around Eiffel Tower! it was really romantic and the carriage driver was sort of cute. haha! =p on the carriage, we felt so "out there", but the people there just wave at us and gelak2 tengok. apa lagi! we pun wave back and i felt special! cewaaahhhh~~ hahaa! Nina and Amad are so lucky =D

after the carriage ride, we went on the grass and guling2 lagi. hahahaha! i swear, it is THAT NICE! while guling2 tu, take pictures, talk, and reviewed our merchandises. haaa.. life without a worry.. camtu la rasa dia! =B

we got on the cruise (mind you, not the cruise! cruise tour yang murah jeee!) around Paris. did you know that in Paris, there's a smaller version of the White House yang kat Washington tu? also, there's a replica of Liberty's torch in the city. these french people actually worship americans tapi ego nak admit it. weird..

masa on the cruise tu best la! it was like a shortcut method to see the whole city rather than walking or taking the train. heee..

on btw, Paris is not a cheap place to shop and eat! susah gak la kot. makan maggi and kurma in the hotel room to save money with the occasional crepes and ice creams. tu takleh nak tolak la. sedap nak mampus kot!

the last day tu, we went to La Sacre Couer. not many people know of this place because it's not promoted like the Tower and De Louvre. but with relentless efforts, we found the place and climbed steep stairs to reach the bloody place. wee!

all in all, Paris was wonderful and we faced no difficulty in finding places to go, eat (we found halal KFC!) and communicating. hahhh.. rindu!!

AMSTERDAM!

alrighty! there's a lot to type and too many to describe about my holiday since the last day of studying. so here goes!

to begin with, i went on this Eurotrip with my friends. My bestfriend from highschool, Nina, her bf, Amad, and her bf's sister, Sis. initially this trip was supposed to be just myself and Nina, but then Amad and Sis wanted to join us, so best la!! the more the merrier kan! and OMG, did we have FUN! heehehe!!

first stop: Amsterdam!

Amsterdam is by far my favourite place! yes, it is where drugs and prostitution are legal, but the locals are very subdued and civilized people. the city is clean and the greeneries were kept. they have large parks in the city and people there are just so healthy! you will see people cycling about, young and old, and they rely on public transportation to get around if not cycling or walking. that's why it's so nice there! not busy, not polluted, not congested. very pleasant!

so we bertolak from KLIA at 9pm and transit at Dubai airport and arrived in Amsterdam at 9pm. or something like that.. haha! lupa.

upon arrival, we took the train and headed to our hotel. it's near Red Light District! haha! the hotel was quite nice! and with 2 to a room, it was a comfortable stay. mind you, we got the rooms for such a good price! *credits to Nina's mom!*

Dubai Airport!

we went to the outskirts of Amsterdam to see the windmills. it's soo cute! they make cheese

there too so to all cheese lovers, sila jealous coz i had a good time

tasting cheese samples of all sorts! muahahahaha!! rugi i tak beli for my dad. he's an extreme cheese lover.. cuma tak tau maa! too many choices!

we went to the Sex Museum too. haha! terkejut? but yeah we did. i went there before but then, i was a younger and naive girl, so seeing what i saw, i was disgusted. hari tu, my friends and i were just laughing away. it was disturbing (penis and vagina everywhere kot!) but entah, when you're open to it, it seemed quite funny. =p nak gambar ke? haha!

we went on the canal cruise around Amsterdam too. basically naik cruise tu to see all the places we haven't been to yet and most likely won't cover. kira shortcut of sight-seeing la. but best anyway! we also walked around Red Light District during the day. things is, in broad daylight, the prostitutes won't be at the main road nye windows. they worked at small alleys. at night baru diorang stand by their windows. huahua! cool tau!

because in Amsterdam, everything is either walking distance or tramp ride away, we always had time to balik hotel, eat and go out again. bear in mind the sun is up from 4am to 11pm! so we covered loads of places in a day! we had ice creams, pastries, fries, and they were good! no nasi or noodles. rasa cam mat salleh gila! mmm.. sedap gila!!

you would think we ate at places yang tak halal kan? tut tut tut.. it's the modern days now! there are halal places everywhere! takde la nak darurat2 ke apa. senang je nak cari. just walk ahead, and left and right nampak je sign Halal. =D

we also enjoyed ourselves walking in the parks, and 1 in particular, Vondel Park, is sooooo cantik!! and nice and oh-my-God, hijaunyaaaaaa!! we walked ikut pintasan paling cepat pun rasa cam jauh nak mampus. it's THAT huge! dah keluar from the park, we walked to Hard Rock Cafe coz Sis collects clothes from there. hehe! i wanted to buy drumsticks, but it was above my budget. takpe, next time! =D

that night, we went to Red Light District! and masa tu la, the party started. gila sibuk la! it was a pasar malam, guys going up to the doors and bargaining with the girls, and on the streets people hanging out la, drinking la, reunion pun ada. haha! memang happening habis! it was fun!! oh, and there many types of prostitutes, you would not believe! ada kurus, ada tak, ada lawa, ada yang manly-ish, etc etc. haha! must-see siot!

lastly, we went to the Flea Market. it was soooo quaint, i rasa cam envious! why can't our pasar be like that? tapi i paham la. our country panas maa. kalau boleh orang nak beli what they need and then chow terus balik rumah di mana kipas or air-con is on. haha! it was filled with different aromas; pastries, breads, fruits, clothes, flowers, etc etc. uhh.. best sgt!

so yeah, this is pretty much the summary of Amsterdam. ada je lagi extra2 but just this pun dah banyak kan. hehe!!
